Scholarships

The Mission Youth Soccer League strives to provide the opportunity to youth soccer players from all economic backgrounds. We are committed to offering soccer to every child in the community.

Eligibility Guidelines – Who is Eligible?

  1. Residents of San Francisco
  2. Families that earn less than two times the current federal poverty guideline (click here for the current guideline). For example, as of January 2020, the guideline for a family of 4 is $26,000. Two times that amount is $52,400. If you earn less than $52,400 then you qualify.

Levels of Financial Aid – How much can be covered?

Level 1:

50% of financial aid will be available to any player who meets the eligibility guidelines noted above.

Level 2:

Review the guidelines below to see if your child (or children) qualifies for a scholarship.

100% scholarship will be offered to up to 2 team members that participate in any of the following:

  • California State Benefit Program
  • Medi-Cal Program
  • Player(s) have been approved by SFUSD or the school for free/reduced lunch
  • Live in Public Housing
  • Disability
  • Unemployment
  • Other (please describe in letter)

Please attach supporting documentation for each option that is chosen.
