2024-25 MYSL-IFC Travel Competitive Team Tryouts

Tryouts for MYSL-IFC Travel & Competitive teams will be taking place on May 4th and 5th, 2024. Locations and times TBD. All new and returning players must attend tryouts.

Before Tryouts

Player evaluations at Tryouts are completed by: IFC Coaching Director and IFC competitive team coaches. If your child is not selected for a competitive team, MYSL will place them on a rec team (pending rec team availability). If we do not have enough players to form a recreation team, we will collaborate with neighboring clubs to find your child a team to play on.   

This is a full-year commitment. If your child or family is not willing to commit both Fall and Spring to a competitive team, then please reconsider your options. If you accept an offer to play on a competitive team, you are responsible for all registration fees for Fall and Spring. This does NOT include indoor fees, tournament or uniforms fees.  

If your child is offered a spot on a competitive team, registration is due by May 14th at 5 PM with fees for the fall and spring seasons. Payment includes 8 NorCal games in Fall and Spring. 

Encourage your child to do his/her best and do not worry about mistakes! Coaches look at how a player recovers from their mistake (Effort! Attitude!). 

After Tryouts

Once an offer is made to your child for a competitive team, you have 48 hours to accept the invitation online and complete registration. Offers will be sent on Monday, May 6th by 5 PM. Registration must be submitted online by Tuesday, May 14th at 5 PM.   If you will be gone during Offers, please designate a representative who can accept/decline on your behalf and arrange for payment to be made to MYSL.

Please note that MYSL will be moving to an online registration process for 24-25. The new registration platform is called BYGA. Invitations will be sent electronically along with the registration link. All documents, including birth certificate (for new travel competitive players to MYSL-IFC only), proof of residency (for all new and returning NorCal players) must be uploaded at the time of completing registration in May. 

Players who are not offered a spot on a Competitive team are welcome to register for the Recreational Program. No player will be placed onto a roster until their registration fee is paid and date of birth is verified for new players.   

Travel Team Fall & Spring Registration Fees

TRAVEL SOCCER FEES – NorCal

Travel soccer U8 thru U10 : $350 PER PLAYER

Travel soccer U11 thru U19:  $350 PER PLAYER

MYSL offers two scholarships per team as well as flexible monthly payment installments. Please speak to your coach or email missionyouthsoccer@gmail.com for more information. 

Additional information

  • A team meeting (coaches, parents and players) will be held in the summer. 
  • Each team needs a Volunteer Team Manager. Please consider volunteering for this role.
  • The manager assists the coach in communicating information regarding games and practices.

MYSL partners with IFC for all NorCal travel teams. IFC is a program of America SCORES Bay Area. There is no fee to be part of IFC but families are asked to make a contribution to America SCORES to help cover staff and coaching costs. Donations can be made at any time during the year.
